Gedicht (Übersetzt von John Tedford)
Maeuta: Though never forgetting the fragrance of a faithful heart [Prince Kaoru] her love is lured away by the transient odor of blossoming petals rife with perfume [Prince Niou]. Though reticent by nature she has sworn vows of love at Kojima-ga-saki famous for its flowering orange groves. Now no one knows where Ukifune has gone. The white waves raise a fearful sound: Atouta: her body is lost amidst the river weeds. Ceaselessly through this ephemeral world she has groped along a floating bridge of dreams. Though she has made her vows of love, she now sets forth upon the cool [and passionless] path of Buddha In her mountain refuge at Ono she will seek enlightenment. |
