Adachi Hōzan (Adachi Kazuki) was born January 17, 1926. He studied Tozan-ryū shakuhachi under Kagayama Shōzan (a student of Yoshikawa Ryōkuzan), attaining the rank of Dai-Shihan and the title Chikurin-ken. He was Secretary of the Kyoto Prefecture Branch of the Tozan-ryū.
